PipeWire and Alsa only using integrated audio card (CPU)

Hey! I'm pretty new here.
I have a dual boot on a Honor MagicBook V14, and on one of the boots it detects the audio output (Senary Audio), but on the Arch Linux boot it doesn't seems to detect it and only gets the integrated audio from the CPU (Tiger Lake-LP Smart Sound Technology Audio Controller Speaker), and it sounds horrible.

I have tried to check with PipeWire tools and things like `alsamixer` but it doesn't seems to detect the better audio speaker.
I thought it wouldn't bother me much, but now with more time in hand I finally want to fix this problem, what should I do?

Re: PipeWire and Alsa only using integrated audio card (CPU)

That is the same audio card, "Senary Audio" is just marketing blub for what's ultimately the integrated chip of your device.

Some googling suggests these issues are known because the firmware wiring is weird which leads to https://github.com/thesofproject/linux/ … 3244098215 and in turn to https://github.com/Smoren/huawei-ubuntu-sound-fix which you could give a shot.

I will try and see if it works! Thanks for the reply.

Hey! I just wanted to reply to say that it worked! I simply ran the script for the sound fix, and now (although still a little weird) it works perfectly!
Thank you for the reply, as it fixed the audio issue for the HonorMagicbook 14v (i'm just adding this line so if someone else has this problem, they will see this post)

Edit: Now idk how to edit the topic as SOLVED lmao-

You can edit the title in your first post, but might have to shorten it a bit you're likely running into the character length limit.
