Trying to find culprit packages that caused screensaver malfunction

I use Openbox with LXDM

Today I became aware that my screensaver is triggering whilst watching youtube. Immediately after that, I remembered  that I updated my stuff yesterday before I went to bed. I also did a quick update and reboot just before I registered to see if there's been a fix already. There wasn't. I have absolutely no Idea what package managed to break this sacred logic, so I decided to ask for help on this forum.

Here is the list of packages after I found when I cat /var/log/pacman.log

[2025-10-03T21:59:15+0300] [ALPM] transaction started
[2025-10-03T21:59:15+0300] [ALPM] upgraded glycin (2.0.2-1 -> 2.0.2-2)

[2025-10-03T21:59:15+0300] [ALPM] upgraded libdrm (2.4.125-1 -> 2.4.126-1)
[2025-10-03T21:59:15+0300] [ALPM] installed xdg-desktop-portal (1.20.3-1)
[2025-10-03T21:59:15+0300] [ALPM] installed xdg-desktop-portal-gtk (1.15.3-1)
[2025-10-03T21:59:15+0300] [ALPM] upgraded gtk4 (1:4.20.2-1 -> 1:4.20.2-2)
[2025-10-03T21:59:16+0300] [ALPM] upgraded linux (6.16.8.arch3-1 -> 6.16.10.arch1-1)
[2025-10-03T21:59:16+0300] [ALPM] upgraded qt6-svg (6.9.2-1 -> 6.9.2-2)
[2025-10-03T21:59:16+0300] [ALPM] upgraded sdl3 (3.2.22-1 -> 3.2.24-1)
[2025-10-03T21:59:16+0300] [ALPM] upgraded sudo-rs (0.2.8-2 -> 0.2.9-1)
[2025-10-03T21:59:16+0300] [ALPM] transaction completed

There's also the recent update I did today

[2025-10-04T07:11:53+0300] [ALPM] transaction started
[2025-10-04T07:11:53+0300] [ALPM] upgraded xdg-desktop-portal (1.20.3-1 -> 1.20.3-2)
[2025-10-04T07:11:54+0300] [ALPM] transaction completed

Any insights to which package could be breaking the screensaver logic? Am I losing sanity and misremembering that it didn't trigger? If it helps, I am gonna say that I wasn't even aware what package got bundled with this screensaver, hell, I am not even aware of the name of the screensaver I am using. I am completely blind to how this thing got here. This is why I added the desktop manager and window manager as bold at the top.

Re: Trying to find culprit packages that caused screensaver malfunction

What browser (?) doesn't prevent what screensaver in what kind of session (desktop environment)?
There's a problem around gnome inhibition w/ systemd 258, but none of that is in the scant list of updated packages there.

xdg-desktop-portal-gtk was installed what might have an impact here.

Re: Trying to find culprit packages that caused screensaver malfunction

You'd be waiting for that patch to hit the repos then. Until then remove xdg-desktop-portal again?
