Hi,
Since last night's update i have no embedded video (Facebook, X, ...) Video on youtube works fine.
I guess it's because of the ffmpeg 8 update.
Also in about:support the Codec Support Information shows only hadware decoding support for H264, but no software decoding support.
I have rx 6600xt amdgpu driver.
In terminal there are lots of messages for the video problem:
Child 49727, MediaDecoderStateMachine #1] WARNING: Decoder=7fce26218d00 Decode error: NS_ERROR_DOM_MEDIA_METADATA_ERR (0x806e0006): file /home/xxxxxx/.cache/yay/librewolf/src/librewolf-143.0.3-1/dom/media/MediaDecoderStateMachineBase.cpp:168

Same issue here on RTX 2070 S @ nvidia-open-580.82.09. Hardware decoder available via VAAPI. I think ffmpeg should provide H.264 in my case since i dont have the cisco one installed.
The exact error is
RemoteMediaManager is not available
and originates here: https://searchfox.org/firefox-main/sour … er.cpp#110
For me installing ffmpeg4.4 fixed the problem.

Yes, worked for me too. Install ffmpeg4.4 then restart your browser. Issue applies to Mozilla-based browsers running on Arch.
