Dual Boot issues, GRUB won't boot into Windows after first time.

Hi all,

os prober is able to properly detect my Windows partition on /dev/nvme0n1, whilst my Arch install is on /dev/sda. I'm able to boot into Windows once, then afterwards it shows this error:

error: commands/search.c:grub_search_fs_uuid:371:no such device: 04CB-AE86.
error: fs/fshelp.c:find_file:260:file '/efi/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi' not found.
Press any key to continue...

The UUID 04CB-AE86 is correct, and is where Windows is installed, but GRUB can't find it the second time. Reinstalling GRUB fixes it, but again only for one Windows boot. I've tried disabling fast startup but it didn't change anything, and I've tried clearing any "dirty bits" via CMD on Windows.

I would appreciate some guidance here to decode the issue.

Thank you.

Hello,
did you read and follow https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Dual_boot_with_Windows in all steps?
Which way did you choose ?

Fast boot must be disabled, both in Bios and in Windows, check that.

In Windows this is called "Fast Startup" - please see my wiki link above.

BIOS fastboot is unrelated to this topic - or which source do you have for this ?
