Here is a post that should help. It is about installing RoR 0.36.3. I (PeNgUiNs) posted how I attempted to install it in a post on that thread. I think all the symlinks I made have been deleted, so don't worry if you didn't use any. I will try to make a pkgbuild when I successfully get ror installed.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I wonder, was there any success? The package in AUR does not compile, and seems to require an old version of GCC.
