Re: [Solved]kernel26-2.6.34.2-1 upgrade fails
since the two files in question "modules.devname" and "modules.softdep" were empty files (aside from a comment line), I just moved them out of the way (use mv or cp).
The upgrade was smooth and the above two files were auto created in /lib/modules/2.6.34-ARCH so I deleted the old files.
