I replaced Osmos' Fonts/FortuneCity.ttf with the font from http://www.fontcubes.com/FortuneCity.font and it's working great. I believe it's the same font.
Machinarium was using more than 80% on all 6 cores when I ran it full screen; windowed (but still pretty much the same size) uses only around ~20%.
Braid is running fine too, on a Radeon HD 4200 IGP with the Catalyst 10.12 drivers. However, I had to run it with '-width 1024 -height 720' to get smooth playback and good looking graphics.
I haven't tried the other two games yet.

I cannot seem to run braid-linux.run.bin and cortex_command-amd64-installer-build24.bin directly to install the game. They segfault in a similar way. See the following backtrace.

However, I was able to unzip the two binaries directly to extract the game files. I feel that the game quality is better last year than this year, although braid is certainly better than anything.

Maybe your download is not okay?

They segfault for me too (md5sums checked). Unziping worked fine though.

There is now a Cortex Command PKGBUILD

So I'm having the same issues as everyone else.
I've only tried Braid and Cortex Command but here's what's up.
Running the bins of each works for me, but I can't run either game that way. I got the error everyone got from running Braid, then I installed libtxc_dxtn, and if I run it in the windowed option it sort of works. Essentially what happens is a black window appears and it covers my other windows (I run DWM) so I can't see my terminal for possible errors. I read some one saying that it's the chip my netbook has (I have an ASUS eee 1000HE, it has a 945 GMA essentially). Normally I'd accept that as my fate, but I've run Braid before on this very netbook in Windows, and don't see why physical limitations like a chip shouldn't transpire in both operating systems. Thoughts and comments?
I also get the standard problem for Cortex Command with the libssl.so.0.9.8 error, I'm not sure how to fix it since I tried suggestions and it gives the same error, possibly because I appear to have libssl.so.1.0.0. I'm not sure what to do, should it be working anyway?
The last problem I have is with the PKGBUILDs in the AUR, since I tried it for both, hoping that it might yield different results. Instead, I put in the path for my .run.bin files as instructed and am Informed that the PKGBUILD cannot find the game and it then aborts.
At any rate, those are my problems, any help is greatly appreciated,
--Wes
UPDATE
I got the PKGBUILD for Cortex Command working. I was being stupid earlier, hopefully I can get it to work.
UPDATE
It kind of works. I can see a sliver of the game as it appears off screen and there's music playing. I'll take that as a decent start. The problem is that I can no longer use any of my keyboard shortcuts to stop the game, and my mouse is non existent. In order to stop and try something else I have to turn my computer off by holding the power button. I can also see the terminal, and it posts the same error about libssl.so.0.9.8, but appears to not care about it anymore.
UPDATE
I've done the same thing with Braid, but I get the same error I got before I used the PKGBUILD where I get a black window (which in my opinion is a better error than the error I get with Cortex Command because I can still use short cuts to go to other windows but still can't close the Braid window) whenever I run the windowed option.

Wesman26: When I run Braid, I get a black window to start with, but after a while the game starts. Leave it to run - if there is an error, it will crash and the window will close by itself. It does take a while for the game to actually start, so try waiting a bit longer

That is a good idea, I left it running for only about 5-10 minutes. So this time I just left it. I heard some music after about 20 minutes, but it looks awful. It was very small, which is odd to me because the window is maximized and yet the game inhabits only the upper left quarter of my screen. Does anyone know how to make it so I can play the game full screen? I also noticed our beloved protagonist being surrounded by a black box. Does anyone have any good fixes for this?
I also get the same problems posted before for Cortex Command.

Did you try the new braid linux-package?

Did you try the new braid linux-package?
Is it a new run.bin file? Or are you referencing the PKGBUILD?
My current installation and the one I tested last night (and kept running for 20 minutes) is an install courtesy of the AUR (I finally got it to work, and I love the clean look and feel of having something installed appropriately). If there's some sort of update with the bin I should be downloading from the website then we may have a new story entirely.
UPDATE
I just updated all my packages. The new install of Cortex Command from the AUR seemed to go off without a hitch, though I've yet to run it, and Braid is updating now. Just to be safe I redownloaded the bins of both, though I doubt I needed to.

There is a new run.bin and a new AUR package (because of the new run.bin). I don't know, which version you use. Also I don't know which video card and driver you use.

Perfect!
It would appear I made the correct decision in downloading the bins after all.
Should I do the same for the tar balls of the other games before attempting to install them via their respective PKGBUILDs?
EDIT
Also, I'm running this all on my netbook right now, using xf86-video-intel, I think I have a crappy little 950 in here. However this netbook has run Braid before in Windows and handles it well.

On Windows, Braid uses DirectX. Also, your graphic card has support for OpenGL 1.4 at best, which has probably less features than DirectX 9.0c. And more generally with Intel, their Windows proprietary drivers outperform their Linux free drivers.

Braid on Netbooks with Linux = Not gonna happen. The drivers can't handle that in Linux.

See the bug report regarding required OpenGL extensions here. The problem lies within mesa AND the drivers. The mesa part of the problem can be solved using this (and it's lib32 counterpart for 64 bit). For the driver part, there are already bug reports posted on freedesktop.org for both radeon and intel drivers.
Still, the new Braid linux build (re-downlad the game at humblebundle.com) has a workaround. If glxinfo does not advertise s3tc support the game now handles texture decompression using the cpu. This should solve most of the problems. Of course, on a netbook a weak Atom cpu might not be able to handle this, so for those users the only fix relies on the video driver developers.

Unfortunately none of the games have worked or started on my computer, neither the native linux versions nor the windows versions started with wine. But I have to admit that I only installed and started them without doing any research on how to solve the problem, mostly I just get a black screen with nothing happening.
Could it be that my computer is too old for these games, or more specific my graphics card? It is a 5 year old laptop with an ATI mobility X600 (or something like that, don't remember the exact number) and I use the radeon driver.
Offline
@Jonathan: Well, using any free driver you need the GL extension for s3tc texture compression. See the previous posts on how to install that.

You don't need that for braid. There is a new package for braid, that supports drivers without s3tc. Doesn't mean, that an ATI mobility X600 can handle that game, but s3tc is not needed for braid. Revenge of the Titans doesn't need that and Machinarium needs Flash (or comes with flash). Don't know about Cortex Command (but that game is beta anyway) and Osmos.

@ChemBro: Technically you are right, but without the extension the game uses uncompressed textures which makes everything ridiculously slow.

Thanks for the help everyone. I'm glad I know why it has troubles with linux now. Last night I got Braid to run on my netbook in linux after letting the black screen sit for 20 minutes. This morning I updated, so let's see if it looks any better.

I can't move my mouse into parts of the screen on Titans when in full-screen. Windowed mode is pretty annoying. Any tips on this?

Try to run it exclusively in its own x-server with xinit from tty2?

So, Cortex command is working fine, it seems. The others still don't, and I now I have the s3tc stuff installed. I don't have any hopes for Braid on this computer and I guess Machinarium is not working because it is flash, and I can't watch any flash files fullscreen. Is there a way to start Machinarium so it doesn't go fullscreen?
Starting Revenge of the Titans also leads to just a black screen with nothing happening even after many minutes. Is there some kind of log file for that game that I could post, I didn't find any?
For Osmos, it also just shows a black screen and I did exchange the font or rather I used the AUR package. It always stops at this message:
