Strange..
When I check the http header on from two different pcs in my home I get:
HTTP/1.1 200 OK
...
Content-Length: 3745728
Last-Modified: Tue, 30 Jun 2015 21:14:22 GMT
Content-Type: application/x-xz
But if I use http://web-sniffer.net/ to check the header the content-length is 57085620
And this only happens for the linux-ck-pentm package. I checked a few other packages and they are all fine.

Dunno what to tell you... does the 4.0.8-1 package come down ok for you?

Yep, it's all good.

Do the lockups also occur for you with NUMA disabled + SMTNICE disabled ?
I remember that there were some initial issues with SMTNICE that got fixed with the addition of the final functionality - no ?
Unfortunately I can't remember anymore if it also was related to Btrfs & hardlocks
but I definitely remember that there were a few occurrences of hardlocks in combination with Btrfs and BFS in the past for me

Hello graysky,
would you consider building linux-gc by Alfred Chen for the 4.1 kernels if CK doesn't update his patches? It seems to contain a modified BFS, BFQ, intel-phc, the gcc patch and 3-4 other smaller changes.

@progandy - I only build the official ck1 patches into the kernels. You are welcome to do so though.

Thanks. I am thinking about it and wanted to know if this would be a waste of my cpu cycles.

If you (or anybody else) prefer Chen's kernel line, there are scripts for build it in Arch Linux: http://www.archlike.darmowefora.pl/inde … 5.html#new (it's in Polish).
First you should download good config for it i.e. graysky's from AUR or from linux-bfq (I think both are the same) - just download linux-ck or linux-bfq from AUR. Delete all files exept config and config.x86_64. Copy PKGBUILD, linux-gc.install and linux-gc.preset code from webside above. Adjust PKGBUILD if you want and compile kernel. It works (I'm on it). So now, the version is corresponding to upstream's 4.1.2.
EDIT:
Ups, I forgot about one things. Graysky's patch, that used by Chen is for GCC =<4.8, then some Intel's users may have a problem or... use "native" flag.

ck isn't updating his patch set anymore?
I don't know. I think he will do it sometime when he feels like it. Maybe he still uses the 4.0.x kernel for his own system(s), so he has no need to update them at the moment. That is all speculation, though. All I know is that he hasn't published a patch for 4.1 yet.

Sure. Nothing's happened for 3.1, and no progress has been made on fixing the non-numa build bug. As usual when I start working on it I will finish working on it shortly afterwards, but so far I've been too busy to do anything.

EDIT2: In sync. Should be good.

Hey all, I'm having some weird problems with the latest linux-ck-haswell kernel (4.1.3-1). The sound through the speakers no longer works. The speakers are not broken since it does work on the official kernel and on the previously installed ck kernel (4.0.9-1). Funnily enough, the headphones do work. I'm at a loss where to start debugging. Does anybody have tips?

Actually I use "yaourt -Syyuua" because I have so many AUR apps...
And I waited until next day to try again cause wasn't gonna need the computer that day...
Thanks again for all the good work... .. !

I'm having issue with latest linux-ck build from Aur. Kernel panic on shutdown [1]. I thought it was only me but another user confirmed the panic as well so its better to have it here.

I am getting the exact same issue. For some reason if I shutdown, reboot, shutdown, reboot, then the sounds works again. It seems to break when switching between vanilla and CK, but after shutdown rebooting twice it continues to work. Very baffling.
EDIT: Okay, correction since I am testing linux-ck again. The reboot twice does NOT work. The answer is to have the system suspend once, and then it will work again, even across shutdowns as long as it is the same kernel. There must be a better explanation for this.
