amoradi wrote:Thayer, I had a look at cinderwick.ca screenshots and was wondering what is the music player, file manager, and desktop wallpaper changer you are using in this screenshot: http://cinderwick.ca/projects/screensho … 189836.png
I believe it to be sonata and nitrogen (for the music player and wall changer, respectively)
I don't know about the file manager though, would also like to know...
Correct, and the file manager is Thunar I believe. It's been awhile, but I've only ever used Thunar or Nautilus.

The entry in OB Menu is for Thunar, so I guess that case is closed

Just awesome.
Rarely does a washed out colorscheme work as well as yours does!
Thanks!

You just copied the font 'by-hand' in /usr/share/fonts/TTF or you created a package and installed it like that?

Quite a messy setup, consisting of:
The window manager is xfwm4. Bottom panel is bmpanel2. To the farmost left bottom there's an icon (Arch logo) which launces mygtkmenu. Desktop icons comes from idesk. In the tray sits a lonesome gtk-vol (excellent!). Gtk theme is Clearlooks Revamp. The font which is used all over is called Surface Medium. Some standard compositing effects is done by xcompmgr, but unfortunately idesk doesn't take kindly to it (hence the black wallpaper, which effectively hides the hideous effect). Oh, icons are Faenza.

Why use xcompmgr and not xfwm4's built-in compositor?

Looks good, kolbycrouch!
I've seen young people waste their time reading books about sensitive vampires. It's kinda sad. But you say it's not the end of the world... Well, maybe it is!
