Hi,
I'm on a fully updated fresh 686 laptop Arch/XFCE4.8 install.
With the initial default mode 3 (non graphic) in inittab I can easily login and start XFCE4 ( via startxfce4).
Once I change initab to default mode 5 (graphic) and reboot I get a brown/pink screen asking for user name (it does NOT display the 2 existing users). Entering (either) username and respective correct PW always results in "Failure to execute login command" error messge.
I've tried xdm, gdm and slim, both by modifying inittab OR running as daemon (adding in rc.conf) with the same error.
Please advise!
