Re: Users with experience, what's your favorite pacman wrapper?

Yaourt over pacman-color.  Previously using powerpill in the middle.

One of the main reasons I use yaourt (and didn't use bauerbill) was being able to just say 'yaourt foo' to get a list of packages, then enter numbers to install them.  I find it annoying to have to type in names of packages after searching.

Re: Users with experience, what's your favorite pacman wrapper?

It was powerpill, but that's defunct at the moment.  Now I'm just using aria2 + pacman, as suggested before.

Has anyone tried the pacget script from the wiki?  What sort of performance improvements did you see?

Re: Users with experience, what's your favorite pacman wrapper?

I tried the aria2 + pacman suggestion, but it gave me errors when i lost the connection and killing pacman (ctrl + c) wouldn't stop aria2... Packer seems really cool. I'mma have to try that. I've been reading some good recommendations for it even on Ubuntu forums.
