You know me folks; still the same old Stumpwm.
I always love your screenshots here. I'm currently using Xmonad, and I just wanted to know whether or not you believe that stumpwm is worth the switch.
Thanks.
Well, I can't tell you that stumpwm is better than anything else. In fact, if I
could, I'd still use ratpoison on my desktop. That's what I started using when I
started using Linux, and it's still the best WM in my opinion. Very, very
lightweight, it does all the things I want it to do, and it stays out of the way
so I can get work done. The reason why I'm using stumpwm on the desktop is because ratpoison and several
monitors doesn't work very well. I don't remember the issues I had, but I can
tell you that I've never seen such an amazing support for multiple heads as that
of stumpwm. So, stumpwm is just the same thing as ratpoison, except that it's written in
clisp and therefore hackable in realtime. If it's better for you, only you can
tell. If you don't have multiple monitors, I'd suggest you try out ratpoison
first. It's a lot easier to start with, and the configuration file is plain
english.
Oh yes, I had tried ratpoison a few months back. I felt that the concept was nice (although a pain to configure), not to mention blazing fast. As far as I know though, it's not being developed by anyone anymore.
I currently only have one monitor, so I suppose it's not necessary that I switch to stumpwm. I was just curious if there were any noticeable benefits to using it over, say, xmonad or dwm. Thanks for your answer by the way.

Not really sure adding the arch logo makes it yours, it's identical to http://browse.deviantart.com/customizat … 4#/d1k04qq sans the logo, but then again that itself seems to be based off something else but he at least credits the source.
"Credit is appreciated, but not demanded" you said, shame you keep the same values.

Meyithi, I've searched for the original deviantart user that created the wood texture, but the original artist deleted their account. If you want their user name, its murcielagossi.
The user from your posted link and the following credited users are (I'm pretty sure) not the original artists.
Also, I did not take the wood texture from them. I took it from a cached archive of murcielagossi, changed the contrast and some other minor things, and threw the Arch logo on there.
I know that this doesn't, make it "mine". I was simply trying to get people to refer to my deviantart page so that these backgrounds can get noticed within the Arch forums for other Arch users to enjoy.
