Did you install kdebase-konq-plugins?

Darn, you're right. I had it installed, no idea why couldn't find it. BTW, fsview misses icon, so as dolphin's magnifier slider. Talking about kdebase-konq-plugins - this google search bar in konqueror isn't too large? I find very inconvenient to work with address bar because of it.

Re: [kde-unstable] KDE 4.7

I'm not sure if it is the best thing to do, because it has been working on my Gentoo dekstop since RC1 and it still does.

Re: [kde-unstable] KDE 4.7

About my crash earlier in this thread (https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 94#p967494) it was solved by upgrading to a newer snapshot of phonon (I also had to rebuild kdelibs after that)

Systray Is broken. It needs to be fixed ASAP. After searching for a good hour, i cant seem to find any other people with the same problem. It might be Arch only.

You could start by describing how it's broken. I've been running 4.7 on both my machines for a while and haven't noticed anything broken with the systray.

Or it might be your config only.
Works here. Try removing the panel and adding a new default panel. If this persist try with a clean config/new user.

Adding systray widget to the panel just crashes plasma-desktop. Ive already tried with a  new user i created and deleting my .kde4 folder. None of them worked.

That's very strange indeed. You could check your .xsession-errors and see what's causing it.

Re: [kde-unstable] KDE 4.7

I combed through xsession-errors and i found "QSystemTrayIcon::setVisible: No Icon set" ,about three instances. Should i put the whole thing on pastebin?

Try adding the systray and then look at the log.

Also, I think this actually belongs in it's own thread, since 4.7 is in extra. You'll probably get better answers that way too. smile

Andrea,

do you plan to package KDE 4.8 beta1 or to skip it and package next beta/rc?

Thanks for your time and effort

Yes, we are ready wink

Obviously this release will be pushed in [kde-unstable], when they say to release it.
