Hey. I have Arch x86_64 with gnome 3 + closed source nvidia. I too have this problem. The thing is, i'm using nvidia-utils package which is in conflict with libg. Does anyone know a workaround for me?

Kaurin: it seems to be a bug in the 295.20 version of the propietary nvidia drivers. For the moment your best option is to downgrade to a previous version (I've gone back to 290.10-2 and I'm currently not experiencing the freeze-on-exit bug).

Thank you! Xbmc exits properly now. 295 version of the nvidia proprietary drivers cause another bug: when searching the activities menu in gnome3. There are already several topics regarding this, as well as a topic on nvforums
