This issue is still happening for me in 3.3.4.
I have the AR9287 chip with ath9k drivers, and on boot the wireless is fine, then after a random amount of usage becomes *almost* unusably slow.
I am using the nohwcrypt=1 option. Without this it is slow all the time, instead of most of it. I have tried forcing 802.11g and turning off power management, but these don't seem to do anything.
Has anyone found a fix?

From another thread, I tried disabling ipv6 (adding ipv6.disable=1 to the kernel command line in grub conf) and it has been working for over an hour so far, with speeds more than 7x what they were before.
For the record, I still have the following "workarounds" active:
802.11g-only enabled
nohwcrypt=1
I'm still using WPA2 (never tried the switch-to-WEP workaround)
I will remove the workarounds and continue to test.
TL;DR disabling ipv6 has fixed the slowdowns *so far*
EDIT 2:NEVERMIND. This is not fixed. It's hard to reproduce. For some reason, watching a youtube video is the best way to reproduce it for me.
