Thanks for that, I think I realised what I was saying didn't quite fit after I'd said it :-p

And you're right, I did get the distinction between btree snapshotting and general data snapshotting wrong, sorry about that :-)
It's just something that I come up against fairly often, and I thought it may be worth checking :-)
