Mind sharing your icon theme?

Thank you.

I just assumed that something called "xxxterm" would be the terminal app. That's why I asked.

Is the top bar conky?

It looks like people here really dislike Gnome or KDE (XFCE4 or Lxde). That is all I have ever known.

Accoriding to package statistics that's not the case at all: kdebase-workspace alone is installed on 40% of systems. There's much more variation on "self-built" systems than desktop environments where most people use the same themes and setups. It makes no sense to posts screenshots on default KDE installation just with different background tongue

Oh noes, Arch is beginning to suck me in with all this DIY-hacking crap tongue Not even 2 weeks on Arch and I switched from Xfce to XMonad. Talk to your kids about Linux…before someone else does.

I am barely getting started on Openbox. And I am seeing all these great desktops with awesome, dwm, xmonad, etc. It is mind boggling.

Thanks. It's pretty similar to dwm, so if you're familiar with that you should be comfortable right away. My setup is pretty minimal though.

^ MonsterWM doesn't have its own status bar. You can use dzen2 or conky.

Re: February 2012 Screenshots

I've abandoned GNOME 3 and become an XFCE refugee. It's a definite improvement!

clean
dirty

Unfortunately, I've also been getting a lot of kernel panics lately. I'm not sure whether my laptop is crapping out on me, or whether it's due to some software update. hmm Not even using any testing repos... I'll figure it out this weekend, when school isn't tying me up. In the meantime -- go live distros!
