I actually use 2 confs now and a script to launch conky with each config file based on whether or not my temp reading path exists (it alternates after each boot for some reason from 0 to 1)

Why don't you simply use ${if_match temp0 > 0} $temp0 ${else} $temp1 ${endif} (adapt synthax) in your conky?
This would display temp0 when it exists and temp1 when not.

Its a bit more than that (hwmon/the temp reading and fan speed locations alternate at boot)

I thought of a using a conky var but in this case it was easier to just create a .py

staying on topic: I've done a few upates to my setup an will post them later after a few more pages of motivational screenshots are posted tongue

Re: February 2012 Screenshots

Dogzilla, you might want to use a different image host like ompldr or imgur. That's not really appropriate for this forum.

BTW, can anyone point me a good image viewer? I'm tired of Ristretto.

The host of your image is questionable.

May I suggest ompldr or imgur to host your screens for public consumption.

and heres a screen

This might sound stupid, but....whats the problem with stooorage.com?

__
Anyway:
Here's the recent update on my desktop: Switched back to Openbox...until I either find a good documentation on or the verve to install and check out hackedbox...(only need hidden or no window title, a window frame and some mousebinds - got any other suggestions for a stacking WM?^^)

They feature porn ads.

I think the biggest difference is the patched font and let g:Powerline_symbols = 'fancy' in .vimrc (read the vim-powerline README file)

Just a simple Gnome3+Cinnamon.  Only customization is the Eleganse theme.
