hopefully a new newsletter will be released tomorrow so if you have things that you you wanna add to it you can post it in this thread,
or you can mail me, dibblethewrecker or phrakture, i think it's the three of us that will start it up again, and xentac will write the devland section,

Re: Arch Newsletter

Great smile

I hate nagging, it's just that I think regular newsletters are a Good Idea. I like to think that I know 95% of the newsletter before I even read it, so it's not like I'm desperate to read it myself. But, it's good for the community, and so I look forward to seeing regular editions.

Of course, others may think that having you guys maintaining packages, wikis, forums, etc is more important, so I do understand that there are many other things that need your attention too.

You forgot "dealing with users nagging about the newsletter", heh

If all goes well, we should get this out by EOD

Re: Arch Newsletter

 - you left me out!

where was the discussion about who was doing what!  or did you write three newsletters and pick the best bits from all three?  Or did i just miss the boat entirely? tongue

I'm still happy to help with forum and AUR sections - you guys have obviously been discussing this aside from here so where should i have been to join in?  As xerxes and I are both this side of the atlantic maybe i should co-ord with him primarily?

xentac set up subversion for it so if you wanna join you must mail him your "htpasswd -n yourusername" ,
maybe you can write a few facs about packaging and aur,

Well, to be honest, if you guys ahve everything covered is there any need for me to help?  I'd still like to help for the sake of helping - when i first tried to help out i felt like i was doing something no one else felt like they had time to do i.e read the forums - but i'd still like to contribute if you'd like my help.

I was just messing. I say G I S too. We have a number of GIS researchers here in computing department, and they also say the letters individually.
