@earwig Nice!!
Is that default panel?
What are you using for transparency? XFCE4 transparency or Xcompmgr or cairo?
What is your GTK and Windows Manager themes?
I think those are elementary icon theme. Right?
Thanks!
It's just normal XFCE4 panel but I found a trick to make it float above other windows without getting in the way:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=626607
Transparency is handled by compiz but I imagine you could get a similar look on other WMs.
Window theme is this beautiful one for metacity... Elementary-Luna-GTK:

And you're correct about the elementary icons.

@Aslan what obconf and windows manager theme is that? What are you using for transparency?
The Theme is Bamboo from the package openbox-themes I think. I just set the Background colour opacity to 60% with tintwizard.
Nothing fancy I'm only a novice at desktop customization.

dwm here as well.

it would be awesome if you would like to share your dwm configuration. can't find github/bitbucket/whatever of yours.
those left up corner icons are yours? what .diff did you use to highlight them from upside? (this yellow-orange bar above active desktop/icon)
http://archlinux.me/kaptenen/files/2012 … _scrot.png
this shot above also looks pretty nice. especially that yellow background for clock in up right corner
thanks in advance.

I don´t use github or anything like that (yet). I have edit the font lime from the artwiz to include all the icons. I´s lime.se so it have the swedish åäö. Hopefully its the only difference between this one and the normal lime, anyway you can find it here. As for the bar above the active tag, you can find it here and some more information here.
And for the second screen, I use the statuscolors patch and conky, if you are using that patch you can only change a line in config.h with the colors you want to use and then tell conky to use them. Like
{ "#202020", "#000000", "#F0E68C" }, (For the clock, I think. I don´t use conky anymore.)
My .conkyrc looks like this:
out_to_console yes
out_to_x no
background no
update_interval 2
total_run_times 0
use_spacer none
