Re: Random kernel panic since upgrade to 3.4 kernel

I'm still having the problem and I wanted to say that I'm also using a Sandybridge...So does someone here still has the problem without using Sandybridge?

Yeah, I guess I am "still" having this problem. I'm not using Sandy Bridge, either.

I got a kernel panic about two weeks ago, and then again about an hour ago. The first time I was using wicd-curses, and my computer crashed. Just now I suspended to RAM, and when I powered back on I was staring at another kernel panic. I have no clue how to address the problem, it seems these errors are completely sporadic, and I can't think of anything in common between their circumstances.

Honestly, it's just encouraging to see that it's not just me. I hope this isn't a huge problem with the Linux Kernel... Torvalds would be pissed.

EDIT: IRQPoll was not a solution for me, and I'm on linux 3.5.3-1, so the 3.5 update doesn't appear to offer all the salvation after all.

I've had the same problem and blacklisting btusb solved it for me.

Thanks! So far so good, anyway. I think I'm going to give up on life if I see another kernel panic after this...
