I'm glad you like my work.
Unfortunately, I'm not using this font for coding (I'm not coding at all except bash), but I always use it when I have to do changes in system files (fstab, pacman.conf, .xinitrc).
I don't remember being disturbed by brackets (but it was bold version). I can rollback it, but some persons like/dislike so I don't know.
Braces are hard to draw (I hate creating these characters). I will do my best and improve them.
Your blog looks minimalistic, personnally I think it's good.

You use some squiggly brackets in bash The only brackets I was really talking about are the squiggly kind; I think the square brackets are fine.
I don't even like writing them in real life, getting one that looks nice every time you look at it must be tough. Thank you for taking the time to attempt handling feedback!
Thanks!

It's updated to 1.2.4. Changed / Reworked all braces. Would be better now. The tiny version called envypnd has been renamed to envypn (you can change sizes, 13 & 15).
Read the full changelog with:
pacman -Qc envypn-font
Will be working on condensed version.

Hey, just wanted to stop in and say I like the changes. The changes are subtle, but when there's a squiggly brace and a parenthesis nearby it is much easier to tell them apart. I like the skinnier square braces too Thanks again for all your work!

When installing the package, yes it does appear. It does not appear during upgrade.

The new package failed to build. I downloaded the tar archive, and apparently it is empty

In previous post, you mentioned that the "o" and "a" look really similar. I also feel the same. Is it an intentional design ?

Sorry for the inconvenience. I fixed this issue.
About "o" and "a", when I started this font, I added a dot in the "o" and it was easy for me to know what was the letter. But some users, disliked this dot, so I removed it.
I like how I drawed the "a" so I think I won't modify it.
I can revert the dot.
Do you prefer the "o" with or without the dot?

My friend, the problem still persists,
From github, the tar I download.
Look inside, but again, nothing exist,
Just a gibberish verse I wrote !
Sorry, but the build still failed. I wonder whether I'm the only one who has this problem. Did you successfully build from your computer, since it is still an empty tar file. So strange ...
Regarding the "oa" issue:
Since the purpose of the font is small, and readable, I agree with other users that a dot would be a little ... awkward there. Besides, a dot usually associate with "0" to distinguish it from "o".
I think the current design is okay.
I'm doing some coding with Envypn. and notice that:
a.) "."(dot) and ","(comma) also look similar, especially with python.
b) ":" (colon) and ";" (semicolon) look similar due to the above.
Perhaps, you can make them a little more distiguished ? Then coding people will probably be happier, IMHO.
Cheers.

Hum, really weird. The MD5SUM was different with the local tar.gz and the downloaded tar.gz.
And the tar.gz wasn't not empty. I had the verbose output with tar -cvzf.
Built 1.3 without any issues.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll try to improve it soon (maybe tonight or tomorrow).

Hi simon.swe, for me it looks similar to previous version (1.2.4).
I opened the fonts and saw new symbols were added. I haven't tried these new symbols, but I believed the rest is left intact. Please check again.
Cheers.

We asked me previous versions of this font so now I will create a repo with all versions (from 1.3). So, if you need a specific version, it will be easier for you.
I'm currently working on a new font. I still plan to add ISO8859-2 (and maybe ISO8859-5) to envypn.
In five days, I'll go on holiday until September.
Stay tuned!

Hey, I just discovered your font, and I really like it. I'm currently using it, not sure if I'll change, but for now I'm appreciating it.
By the way, I saw that the French quotes " « " and " » " look… weird ôo, I mean, they look more like arrows than quotes…
Not a big deal, I think I already got used to them
Edit: One more thing,
It's really (really) hard to distinguish " æ " and " œ ", I know that they aren't often used, but as a BÉPO layout user, it quite annoys me :$
