Does anyone else have a problem with nvidia 304.32-1 brightness problem in games like tremulous, quake 4, and others?
The problem is that I can't adjust the brightness its stuck and in tremulous it's too low.
I'm using 64bit version of arch and have a nvidia geforce gtx 460 768mb.
I ended up downgrading nvidia, nvidia-utils, and lib32-nvidia-utils to 302.17 this version doesn't have this problem.

I saw that my brightness-settings was messed up, checked nvidia-settings,
it said that the brightness-config variable or such was wrong.
I suppose they changed some format/syntax in the config-files,
so i re-made my colour-settings, and re-saved it with nvidia-settings again,
and now it works again, loaded with 'nvidia-settings --load-config-only'

This is odd, since it works for me.
all i recognized was that the nvidia-settings, told me of a variable-mismatch,
but it saved over the new brighness variable when re-set in the desktop-colour-tab.
Perhaps try backing up/moving the .nvidia-settings.rc,
and redo the settings with nvidia-settings to get a new - fresh - one.

Same problem here with brightness with Openarena, deleting .nvidia-settings.rc didn't help.
