The config for tint2 was what I really hoping for, thanks for sharing, I'm already using it.

Can you break this down? Especially interested in your bar at the bottom, is it just tint2? If so please post your configs, thanks.

I obviously am not FlyingHappy, but you can find a lua script for those sort of rings here, and then envoke it, e.g.

ring('cpu', 'cpu0', 100, bgcolor, bg_alpha, fgcolor2, fg_a1, 50, y, 45, 4, -90, 0)

Yes that's vim, the colorscheme is the molokai-port (originally for textmate), it's in the AUR. The matching terminal-colors are shown in the scrot

Bar is conky, bar font is OhSnap.  The little square icon toward the right side of the bar is a Dropbox upload/download indicator, since Dropbox is the only reason I'd have a use for a system tray.
