Re: Steam trace/breakpoint trap

I googled for optirun and it seems related to Nvidia/Bumblebee. I do not have NVIDIA. Do you still want me to try optirun?

Also, aur/steam update, still doesn't work.

I'm having virtually the same issues with catalyst-dkms from the repos, and a Radeon HD 6290 graphics card.

Re: Steam trace/breakpoint trap

I had that same error before I rebooted, after I installed ATI's drivers.

I am using Intel Graphics and I have the 32bits version installed. It's just odd that it works on Ubuntu, on the same laptop.

Same error. Isn't that the command for people who weren't in the beta before it was public? I was in the beta anyways.

Re: Steam trace/breakpoint trap

Got same problem, fixed by installing lib32-ati-dri.
(I have 64-bit Arch and ATI video)
Steam now works.

Installing the 32 version of your graphics driver works for most people it seems, but not for me.

Re: Steam trace/breakpoint trap

I don't know if you are still interested in a solution but i had the same error using an ATI graphics card and running

export MESA_EXTENSION_OVERRIDE='GL_EXT_texture_filter_anisotropic'

and then starting steam from the same terminal fixed the error.

I installed 32 bit drivers to no avail, and this solution fixed the problem completely! Thank you!

Re: Steam trace/breakpoint trap

This worked for me, too.

I have an nVidia GT 620, using the nouveau drivers.

I first tried installing the 32bit libs mentioned earlier in this post, without a change, so I removed them before trying the 'export' command.

Also, yeah, I know games won't work on this driver, I'm still struggling with proprietary nVidia drivers and UEFI boot. That's a whole slew of other posts...
