Re: Shadowhand's Devel Repo (Firefox, Gaim, Xfce, etc)

xfce-svn stuff has been committed to [unstable]. May take a day or so to show up on your mirror. I'll be taking down the mousetrap repo in 3 days. Enjoy!

As mentioned above, you are definitely missing fam as a dependency...FYI

This has been fixed in CVS/repos. May take a while for the mirrors to sync up though.

Re: Shadowhand's Devel Repo (Firefox, Gaim, Xfce, etc)

I guess we all saw already the trash error when logging in to xfce. For those who don't know the fix, is changing in /opt/xfce4/etc/xdg/xfce4-session/xfce4-session.rc:

Client2_Command=xfdesktop
Client2_PerScreen=False
Client3_Command=Thunar,--daemon

to

Client2_Command=Thunar,--daemon
Client2_PerScreen=False
Client3_Command=xfdesktop

It is known that this will be fixed in RC2, but when will it be included in svn?

Re: Shadowhand's Devel Repo (Firefox, Gaim, Xfce, etc)

Composite isn't working for me. It used to (in both 4.2 and then svn), but i left it because of the flash bug. Now that it seems to be a fix for that as explained in the Using the Composite extension wiki, i tryed again with no luck.

I think there's something wrong with xfce, because running

xcompmgr -c

works flawlessly. Or did I missconfigure something?

Re: Shadowhand's Devel Repo (Firefox, Gaim, Xfce, etc)

Sure? I just tryed it, with xfwm4-svn 23418-1 and was the same as described. Xfce also hanged up when trying to close it.

Might already be in SVN, I haven't done new packages in a couple of days. You could look through the SVN logs and see if any changes have been made to xfce4-session (the package that owns xfce4-session.rc). If you don't see any changes there, I'd suggest a bug report on the bug tracker like baze posted.

Re: Shadowhand's Devel Repo (Firefox, Gaim, Xfce, etc)

Allright i reported the trash error because it isn't fixed yet.

About the composite bug, you're right baze, it is already fixed. Sorry I didn't notice, I made a versionpkg and now the Composite Manager is working well. The solution for flash crashes described in the wiki also works. It seems that my display still freezes when closing X, I'll see what i can find.

Thanks shadow...IIRC fam should be a dependency for xfdesktop as well, right?  Glad to see everything moved over to unstable!

since fam is a dependency for thunar and thunar is a dependency for xfdesktop, it's not needed to add fam as a dependency for xfdesktop too.

Re: Shadowhand's Devel Repo (Firefox, Gaim, Xfce, etc)

Hi Shadowhand,
now that dbus etc. have been moved to current/extra, I just wondered when we can expect the updated xfce-svn packages in unstable.
No pressure, just wondering.
Cheers,
Blind

xfce4-svn won't even load since upgrading to dbus-0.93-1 over here.

New xfce4 packages in unstable solved this for me.
