Thanks. I get this error with the cairo package:
Please, see circ. two posts above.

I edited the first post and added a dedicated infinality-bundle repository that should work (it seems to do for me).
You will find all the necessary details there.
Thank you.

Added and working. Thanks, all working perfectly : D

Bohoomil,
I think that in the first post, you should change "pacman -Qg infinality-bundle" to "pacman -Sg infinality-bundle" since -Q would be querying packages alreay on one's machine. So unless the user already has installed your packages, -Qg will produce nothing.
Also, I think that the "SigLevel = TrustAll" might need to be changed to "Never" as "TrustAll" errors out on my machine telling me that the packages are corrupt since the signature doesnt' match (and I cannot find any place where your provide a pacman-key signature.
Anyway, I am enjoying this super easy to use font configuration. Thanks again!

@WonderWoofy -- many, many thanks. The first should be
pacman -Sl infinality-bundle
However, I typed a command that I had just used (and I tend to use every now and then). SigLevel has been changed to 'Never', and once I am sure what I should do to make it work, I hope to change it to Optional, at least.

Actually "SigLevel = Optional" seems to have worked for me... as that is what I had put. I just said "Never" above because that is typically the standard option for non-signed repos.

Thank you.
I had to remove pacman -Rdd cairo and install using pacman -U all three packages.
That's OK -- it's mentioned in the 'user notes' as a possibly necessary step, and has already appeared twice in this thread.
Also lib32-freetype2-infinality-ultimate is not available.
Ooops. Add this
[infinality-bundle-multilib]
SigLevel = Never
Server = http://bohoomil.byethost16.com/infinality-bundle-multilib/$arch
to your pacman.conf, run pacman -Syy and everything should work fine.

And you were right. Beware that after the packages have been signed you may even prefer to use "Never" as the files can be inaccessible otherwise.

For now the repository seems to be not available:

For some reason I can't get, the server keeps 'eating' the *.db.tar.gz repo file (the other one is left intact). I had some trouble re-uploading them, but at the moment everything is fine. Is this behavior some sort of protection on the server's side? How can I prevent it from happening?

I believe this happens due to an archive unpacking utility: during upload, when the system recognizes one of the supported formats (tar.gz and tgz in this case), it automatically extracts them once they have reached the target. I couldn't find any settings to globally disable this behaviour, but I figured out that if I upload a renamed archive (tar.gz.bkp for instance) and rename it on the server, it doesn't happen anymore. As far as I can tell, this seems to be a workaround.

pacman -S foo-infinality-ultimate error: target not found: foo-infinality-ultimate
foo = a generic file name, which in our case can be:
freetype2
fontconfig
cairo
plus -infinality-ultimate, which gives us (and which you should install):
freetype2-infinality-ultimate
fontconfig-infinality-ultimate
cairo-infinality-ultimate

I installed freetype2-infinality-ultimate, fontconfig-infinality-ultimate cairo-infinality-ultimate as well as lib32-freetype2-infinality-ultimate, lib32-fontconfig-infinality-ultimate lib32-cairo-infinality-ultimate.
But now my font in gnome-terminal does not render correctly anymore. Not it looks completely differently.
It used to work well with the AUR package.

Which font is it supposed to be? Is it TTF or OTF? Does it look the same in other applications, too? Is it set in gnome-terminal as an alias (i.e. Monospace) and using its proper name?

Well, the font used to be more like that: http://halvar.at/linux/kommandozeile/gn … _start.png
I did not change any font settings except installing your packages from the repo. The current settings are: http://i.imgur.com/ef7dKeK.png

What is the output of 'fc-match monospace'?

Just as I've been thinking. I believe that what you get now is how everything should work.
As far as I can tell, the font you are using in gnome terminal is simply "DejaVu Sans Mono". Just set it there and you should see again what you've been used to.

So I think your new repo is great. But whenever I use cower to see if there are any updates to AUR packages I'm not yet aware of, it tells me that your fontconfig-infinality-ultimate package needs updating. Though these packages are similar, the one in your repo actually provides both fontconfig-infinality-ultimate (the AUR one) as well as fontconfig.
Would it be possible to rename one of these (I think preferrably the AUR version), as you are now providing two packages with the same name that provide different things...
I mean, it is not really hard to just ignore that output of cower. But just a suggestion. Thanks!
