Hello guys!
I just installed Arch to a laptop LG LM70 Express, and I had to use another usb keyboard, to acomplish this, the keyboard works under Kali and other Live-CDs, also severl other Arch Live-CDs work (from the past year).
So I believe this has to be a kernel issue, I have red about configuring the keyboard, but I don't find something that quite describes this issue, neither in the wiki nor in the forums.
When I boot the Live media, I can select from the GRUB options fine, it is just when it takes me to the zsh prompt, that it doesn't work anymore, I am fully updated!
Could someone please point me to the relevant configuration files, that I must seek in the other Distros that work, perhaps I can then port the config to this Arch installation.
The touchpad works, but KDE only sees it as a normal mouse, no vertical scrolling menu appears in System Settings.
Thanks in advance!

I just found the solution!
Here:
http://askubuntu.com/questions/276493/k … -lg-laptop
I added to my kernel line in /etc/default/grub and updated grub:
i8042.nopnp=1 i8042.dumbkbd=1
Now it looks like this:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash ipv6.disable=1 i8042.nopnp=1 i8042.dumbkbd=1"

Great! Thanks for posting the solution.
Did you solve the touchpad problem too? I think those settings are usualy related to Touchpad Synaptics.

Indeed I just updated my config with the frequently used options example in the wiki, now it works perfectly, but I remember KDE had a dialog to configure that also.
Right now I am installing
synaptiks-git
from AUR, I think that's the one I'm looking for, I'm surprised it's not part of KDE.
Thanks drcouzelis!
