Re: March 2014 Screenshot thread

I spent a large part of the weekend switching to MATE (+Openbox) instead of a Frankenstein mix of LXDE, Xfce, Openbox, and Loki knows what else. I've had that conky top panel almost forever, so at some point I'll probably redesign it to imitate the bottom panel.

I don't see the point in maintaining two system applications menus, so I got rid of the Openbox root menu and replaced it with a desktops one.

Nice and simple! What window manager is that? Is that a root menu in the bottom right? I want to say something *box, but I dont know if I could make OB look that way.

This one is also very nice! What panels are you using? Im assuming lxpanel on bottom, but unsure on the top...

Wouldnt mind a config for the top one either. Im really trying to ditch using a conventional panel..

Thats 2bwm. Available in AUR or direclty on Github

The menu is 9menu from the Plan9-Team. A very nice scriptable menu imho. There are also a few alternatives like `thingmenu` or a well started dzen2.

That is minirc
A tiny systemd-"replacement" script, that uses busybox to initializise the system. For more information visit hut's Github

Re: March 2014 Screenshot thread

This looks great! Would you be willing to post your configs? I'm trying to get Bspwm working, but I'm having a lot of trouble with the panel.

EDIT: nvm, I just found them on r/unixporn
