Startx not working with fglrx (Catalyst)

I've just spent the better part of the last 5-6 hours looking for a solution to this in the wiki and forums, with no luck. Now I'm making this post with the hope that someone here could help me / point me in the right direction.

I have installed catalyst-test-pxp.
fglrx is loaded.
radeon module is blacklisted and not running.

Running startx with fglrx ends in error, but it works with the intel driver (igpu).
Running:

fglrxinfo

ends with: Unable to open display (null)

Hardware:
Cpu:  i5-3210M + Intel HD 4000 Graphics
Gpu: Radeon HD 7670M

Also, if there's anything I could've done differently, (in this post) let me know.

Re: Startx not working with fglrx (Catalyst)

When posting configs, code or command output, please use [ code ] tags, not [ quote ] tags https://bbs.archlinux.org/help.php#bbcode

like this

It makes the code more readable and - in case of longer listings - more convenient to scroll through.

What hardware are you running? Without that, well...

I suppose I was a bit too quick with posting yesterday. OP has been updated.

Re: Startx not working with fglrx (Catalyst)

I'm not pxp user, but afaik you should not blacklist intel driver.
Also note that:

X don't start with xf86-video-intel-2.99.911-1-x86_64.
with xf86-video-intel-2.99.910-1-x86_64 is ok.

you can get xf86-video-intel-2.99.910-1 package from ARM, ie here:
i686: http://seblu.net/a/arm/2014/03/03/extra … pkg.tar.xz

x86_64: http://seblu.net/a/arm/2014/03/03/extra … pkg.tar.xz

The only driver I have blacklisted is radeon, as far as I know anyway.

And I'm not having any problems with the intel driver.

When the PC boots up the fglrx driver is loaded, and nothing works. Trying startx ends in errors, fglrxinfo ends with the error "Unable to open display (null)".
But when I do

 aticonfig --px-ipgu

and use intel then everything works. I can load my de and wm (kde/kdm), I can play games etc..

But I'll look into it and try it out.

Edit: I tried out the downgraded intel driver you (Vi0l0) provided, to no change. Still getting the same errors when trying to use AMD and changing to intel fixes it.
