NVidia/bumblebee not working with rootless X.org [solved]

Hi!

I've been having problems running programs on my NVidia discrete graphic card through bumblebee (I use the proprietary drivers) since X.org 1.16. I've traced the root of the problem to X being run in rootless mode (I start X from a console after logging in, no kdm/gdm/... here), and so I disabled rootless execution through /etc/X11/Xwrapper.config, by setting:

needs_root_rights = yes

I wonder if I'm the only one experiencing this, or if it's a known problem or expected behavior. In the latter case, I guess it would be better to update the wiki...

Yeah propietary drivers don't support rootless mode, if run standalone Xorg would automatically pick up nvidia and start in rootless, but with bumblebee it seems you have to add the file
