Hi, I have nearly the same issue: The moment I open localhost:631 in a Browser cupsd -l goes to 100% CPU load. I tried dr-kart fix but all the same.
systemctl status -l org.cups.cupsd gives me the same output at it does for dr-kart
I try to use a network printer (DCP-7055W), don't know if that matters as even without adding the printer cupsd fires up to 100%
EDIT:
The problem only appears while I add a new printer, once the printer is setup everything works fine. However, I have to restart cups after each add.
I think another problem was that I tried to use and old driver for the Brother DCP-7055W from aur.
The new driver https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/brother-brgenml1/ works
