What? That is the option you are looking for if you want a progress bar. Xfer is a separate issue, and only relevant if you are already using it.

For me pacman-progressbar is the same as pacman's progressbar works. There is progressbar by default...

ILoveCandy is not enabled by default, there's even no mention of it in the man pages.
