yay! it compiled perfectly now, I'm now running with it just fine too! turns out that it was a bad download. I've been getting quite a few things like that lately. now my next problem is that ndiswrapper claims an invalid module format when I try to modprobe it...?but thats for another later thread. thanks all for all the help you've given.
