Re: [kde-unstable] KDE Applications 15.08 beta

There's lot of work going on kdepim as you can see: http://quickgit.kde.org/?p=kdepim.git&a=shortlog.
I expect lots of issues to be fixed before the final release.

Those changes are in trunk, which means they will only be in 15.12. Commits targeted to 15.08 are done in the stable branch http://quickgit.kde.org/?p=kdepim.git&a … 0b0915e044

Re: [kde-unstable] KDE Applications 15.08 beta

Are Yakuake and Krusader also part of the 15.12 release? I think these are not in 15.08 but both of the status seems finished.
Well, let's wait then.

But I cannot even install krusader- git sad

Re: [kde-unstable] KDE Applications 15.08 beta

@miku84 -

krusader --version
krusader 15.08-beta "Clear Skies"

Yours bug:
1. Why do you have got libacl.so in /usr/lib64? It should be located in /usr/lib/ ? See:

locate libacl.so
/usr/lib/libacl.so

2. The same with libz.so
3. It looks like it something strange with CMakeLists.txt, but... it works perfectly. Maybe...
4. Download krusader-frameworks-git.tar.gz, unpack it, change directory to krusader-frameworks-git, and build it via makepkg -si (or something like that).
Krusader from GIT builds very well for a very long time.

Re: [kde-unstable] KDE Applications 15.08 beta

@pb: /usr/lib64 is a link to /usr/lib so it's normal to find the libs also through /usr/lib64.

Use the krusader-git package from AUR4, the one from AUR3 points to the plasma branch, which was deprecated long ago

Re: [kde-unstable] KDE Applications 15.08 beta

Does the new Dolphin contain Compress and Extract options in the context menu? I see them in my 15.04 Dolphin, but I upgraded to krusader-git and those options are not there. Non KF5 Krusader had them.

@azzido - There are those options in Dolphin 15.90 but in Krusader-git I cannot find them too.

With KF5.13 we have to use at least dolphin 15.07.90 (RC) with baloo-widgets 15.07.90 and with kio-extras 15.07.90 as dependiences.

Re: [kde-unstable] KDE Applications 15.08 beta

Is anyone having problems with dolphin's service menus?  They don't work after today's upgrade.  I have tried both

- Install libkonq-frameworks-git
- Install kdebase-lib, and run 'sudo ln -s /usr/share/kde4/servicetypes/konqpopupmenuplugin.desktop /usr/share/kservicetypes5/'

And neither workaround works hmm

Means that dolphin is broken at the moment right ?

I think no if you are using dolphin from our original stable repos. But, if someone use:
- KF5.13 from [testing] repo,
- dolphin from [kde-unstable] repo
or even dolphin git (without rebuild them against of new KF5.13 and without rebuild baloo-widgets and kio-extras),...
yes - it's not working together. There're many changes in KF5.13, Plasma 5.4 and KDE Apps 15.08. Then, when you want to use KF5.13 with Dolphin builds against of KF5, you have to:
1. use dolphin-git from AUR (and I think everythink works together good, but I've not tested them), but you have to rebuild dolphin-git and all dependencies,
2. use dolphin 15.08RC (it means 15.07.90 from KDE's upstreams [unstable] repo, but you must build kio-extras and baloo-widgets for KDE Apps 15.07.90 too. All shared libraries are working. I've used them since yesterday. If you want, I can send you PKGBUILD's for them.

Re: [kde-unstable] KDE Applications 15.08 beta

Dolphin from [extra] or [kde-unstable] should be broken if you're using [testing]. It depends on baloo 5.9.2, but recent KF5 upgrade in [testing] has baloo 5.13.0, which delivers usr/lib/libKF5Baloo.so.5 instead of usr/lib/libKF5Baloo.so.1. Obviously, we need to wait till it's all rebuilt against new KF5. Then we can hope to see 5.4 beta in unstable, Before that it would be too much (re)compiling.

edit: bah,I'm always too slow and somebody posts first.

Thanks pb and Xabre, I guess I'll just wait a bit more, everything will come together at one point smile
Anyway, I'm eagerly waiting for Plasma 5.3.95 packages, as there are a couple of bugfixes in there that I really need wink
