Please report this upstream
pepedopolous, after you've raised this defect, can you please post the link for it? I am affected by this problem as well.

@arojas: There's an issue with WebEngine not being able to open Google sites (possible some other). More info and a patch is here: https://github.com/QupZilla/qupzilla/issues/1870. Please take a look and possibly add the patch to your repo. Thanks in advance!
Fixed in 5.6.0rc-2. Please file such requests in the bug tracker, otherwise there is a chance that they get lost.

I don't know if it's a bug or something wrong with my grub config? I installed breeze-grub theme and get this error:
Error: (hd0,msdos6)/boot/grub/themes/breeze/theme.txt:32:26 unknown property `terminal-color'.The grub.cfg is default one generated by grub-mkconfig.

It's a (upstream) bug. Fixed in 5.5.95-2

No, community packages can't move to kde-unstable due to technical limitations of our svn repo structure.

Ah, ok! Thank you very much!

Thanks for this. I'm not seeing the new Breeze/Breeze Light/Breeze Dark themes, and colour themed Breeze doesn't seem to be working either. I just have "Breeze" and "Breeze Dark" plasma themes available.
What I'm talking about was described here: https://dot.kde.org/2016/03/02/plasma-56-beta
"The default Plasma theme, Breeze, now follows the application color scheme allowing for a more personalized experience. A new 'Breeze Light' together with 'Breeze Dark' theme can be used to bring back the previous behavior."
Should I be getting this?

The Plasma theme is shipped with Frameworks, not Plasma, because upstream works in Mysterious Ways. So you should get this with KF 5.20 next weekend.

It's not quite as mysterious as it seems at the first glance. Sure, for a KDE/Plasma user it makes little sense, but if you plan to use KDE/Plasma programs outside Plasma session, you might need to have a default set of icons or default widget style. Even if you just wish to use Breeze with any other environment, dependancy on anything from Plasma group might be too much, and it's the exact reason why kdelibs and kdebase from KDE4 have been split into many smaller pieces in KF5 and Plasma5.

Agreed, only that the default widget style is actually shipped with Plasma! (in the breeze package). It's the Plasma theme the one that is shipped with KF5, which doesn't make any sense.

Still getting very slow Plasma session starts here. Full journal log from boot: http://paste.pound-python.org/show/rQnR … 8kAHsXnOq/
Edit: tried clearing out config files and restarting, still slow. Killing and restarting plasmashell from inside the session is also slow.

Thanks for the logs, now we're getting somewhere. Please test http://pkgbuild.com/~arojas/qt5-base-5. … pkg.tar.xz

On Plasma 5.6 beta, scrolling with two fingers on the touchpad is way too fast (too sensitive).

I just tested that package on my setup and I can confirm that it fixes the problem.

The "Details" tab in the "Plasma theme" section in Systemsettings disappeared ?
Offline
Yes they removed that because it was cumbersome to maintain and most of the settings didn't have the desired functionality anymore: https://git.reviewboard.kde.org/r/126953/

okay, thanks !

5.6.0-rc3 fixed the problem here as well.

This was reported and should be fixed in 5.6 beta2 or whatever comes next

Meanwhile, you can switch to libinput, which does not have this issue, but at the price of less configuration choices.

Yeah scroll is buggy =P but qt rc3 worked for me as well

Since yesturday's update, sddm breeze theme is back, yay
And session restore is finally working for the first time since the first KF5 release !
On the downside, aside from the aforementioned buggy scroll, plasma freezes here and then, I can consistently reproduce it when changing the sound level.

I've still got slow plasma boot: plasma splash screen seems to load very fast, but then stays there 4-5s after the progress bar is complete.
In plasma 5.5 i booted plasma in may be 2-3s, now it takes 10s circa.
