it's not a bug, that's the correctn behaviour, mkinitrd was loading all possible module (if u didn't customize /etc/mkinitrd.conf) or mkinitramfs which is the same but mkinitcpio works different...

i did it a long time ago, but still dtw didn't implement it, phrakture need HCONFIG implementation too, that's done as well

not sure if this is the right thread, but my new vmware server virtual machine doesnt like the new kernel26.img or kernel-fallback.img, only initrd!

Please provide error messages, and as much detail as possible.  It is impossible to diagnose errors without any info.
