that doesnt fix the issue

Please list everything that you tried from that thread that did not work so that others no what did not work,
this prevents redundant suggestions and others may have insight into the cause from what failed to work.

I tried:
-The fix from article (worked once)
-Reinstalling driver
-Undoing the fix
-Downgrading driver
-Installing driver from nvidia`s website

I tried:
-Downgrading both the kernel and driver
-Forcing loading of the file from the article
-Reinstalling and re-doing the fix

NOTHING HELPS

Re: Suspend function on Nvidia Prop. driver problem

Please provide a complete dmesg including an issue causing S3 cycle as well as a "ps fax" output from before entering S3 (you may redact private command line parameters, like when the browser parameter would expose your favorite porn, but please otherwise keep the list complete)

Re: Suspend function on Nvidia Prop. driver problem

The journal isn't dmesg and it doesn't cover an S3 cycle either.
However STEAM somehow sticks out. Notably on top of the GL composited gnome desktop and the GL accelerated FF.

=> 1st off, try w/o steam running, resp. I guess steam is also what is becoming slow after the S3?
