here's a better question -- what do you need out of your wm?

To wean yourself off of xfce, add xfce4-panel to your xinitrc.

It's pretty minimal... don't expect much from first glance

Thanks. It is called gelly and is part of the artwiz fonts.

I'd say it's the Panel from XFCE4 and XFWM together with xcomposition.

It's openbox with xfce4-panel, and the shadows from composite extension (xcompmgr).
