Libreoffice gets its dictionaries from hunspell. I have installed the packeges: hunspell, hunspell-en_US and hunspell-pt-br. The pt-br spellcheck is working fine. But Libreoffice does not find the en_US dictionary!
Weirdly, Firefox also uses hunspell and finds both pt-br and en_US dictionaries correctly!
I've tried to install hunspell-en (which carries hunspell-en_GB as a dependency), but then I get many EN variants... except the EN_US! Moreover, this makes a dictionary mess. I want to have a short list of dictionaries, either just PT-BR and EN-US, or PT-BR and EN-UK. Having a huge list of EN variants makes it cumbersome to switch between them, specially in Firefox.
Please, someone could check why Libreoffice does not find the EN_US dictionary when the hunspell-en_US package is installed.
