If the brcmfmac driver was loaded incorrectly, how come I am still able to see active network connections? I did what was told on the arch wiki asus x205ta page in order to get internet connection.

The previous dmesg is when I use the linux-x205ta kernel. When I switch back to the default kernel, this problem seems to go away... I am actually connected to wifi when I use the linux package. Strange... This is the dmesg of the linux package:

otoh, the firmware loading error occurs w/ the vanilla kernel as well, so this seems unspecific.
Since the kernel is the most contained package, the wifi problem is probably also unrelated to the original issue w/ the broken links/permissions and an inspection of the network management logs will be required.

Alright, so I removed the x205ta kernel and reinstalled it. I can connect to wifi networks again. However, trace_printk() is still being used, and the x205ta kernel is eating up my RAM. Here is the dmesg (i think it's the same one, but it may have changed)

Do you mean to say that if I boot with the kernel paramter CONFIG_F2FS_IO_TRACE=n, the trace_printk() warning would go away?
No if in the file named config that the AUR PKGBUILD linux-x205ta supplied you changed CONFIG_F2FS_IO_TRACE=y to CONFIG_F2FS_IO_TRACE=n then that would stop the message.
If the system is then fit for production use would then be a matter for your own judgement.
