Can you bisect between glib2 2.58 and 2.60 to find the causal commit?

Do you guys realized when this issue was triggered?
In my case, it just starts when I click on "Details", otherwise I can access the gnome-control-center without any problem.
Same as you, triggered by clicking on details
Had the same problem. Downgrading package glib2-2.60.0-1 to glib2-2.58.3-1 fixes the problem.
Yeah, fixed for me too

Awesome news for now. Can you, or somebody else, upload the old glib to somewhere? I just did clear the cache.. Appreciated.

Edit:
Please build and check 2.58.0 and 2.60.0 locally assuming the former is good and the later is bad then test bdc9328bdf5ebb7f52f947354e2b14fedde0035b.

as a newbie, i can confirm this works. For reference command to downgrade:
pacman -U https://archive.archlinux.org/packages/ … pkg.tar.xz
sidelined point, if you upgrade again with pacman -Syu (for example) this package will get updated again.

Seems to be a widespread issue.
Thanks for the workaround guys!

Had the same problem.
Temporarily fixed it by downgrading package glib2 from 2.60.0-1 to 2.58.3-1 with https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/downgrade/ .

Instead of confirming that downgrading works, which is an obvious non sustainable solution, can any of the affected please test loqs patches?

The issue was with upstream Gnome, they fixed it yesterday: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-co … quests/432.
The Arch package has been flagged as out of date, but it hasn't been updated yet.

I just did and everything works fine so far. I also just reported this in the bug tracker.
Many thanks to loqs!

If anyone is interested, I've modified the PKGBUILD to match the latest commit on the 3.30 branch: https://send.firefox.com/download/f3716 … V_T5W3lTfA
EDIT: If your prefer, here's the already built package: https://send.firefox.com/download/c3cb0 … 9joccokqEA

Same issue here, Details caused it for me. Running the following helps:
$ dconf reset -f /org/gnome/control-center/

Should be fixed with gnome-control-center 3.32.0.1+11+g82ca937ec-1

Thanks for this very helpful thread.
The issues seems to be resolved now. The Details page is working fine with the versions below without any further workaround.
pacman -Qi gnome-control-center glib2 |grep Version -B 1
Name : gnome-control-center
Version : 3.32.0.1+11+g82ca937ec-1
Name : glib2
Version : 2.60.0-1

Core Dump also with this package and after reboot.

Please open a new thread, featuring the new backtrace from your system and the actual software versions involved. It's likely the symptoms have a different cause by now.
Closing.
