Genesys Logic, Inc GL9750 SD Host Controller not recognized

I have a Thinkpad T490 and can't get the SD card reader to work. I don't see a plugged in SD card with lsblk and as far as I can tell, the issue is that there is no driver loaded for my card reader (see output of lspci and lshw below). Any tips as to how I could approach this problem are appreciated. In particular, I'm interested in whether there even exists a driver. Thanks!

Ben Chuang submitted two patches on July 17th that add support for the GL9750: https://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/11047127/ and https://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/11047129/. I don't know when (or if) they will arrive in Arch Linux though.
