How did you remove the icon from the panel that is normally to the left of 'Applications'?

Thanks,

I removed all menu icons by going to desktop > prefs > menus & toolbar.

It's only at 66Hz   I don't notice any flickering though.

I suppose some people just notice the flickering at lower refresh rates and other don't. I could never use anything lower than 85Hz with a CRT or the flickering would drive me crazy.

Re: September 2006 Screenshots

My latest KDE screenshots:

desktop_01.png desktop_02.png

desktop_03.png desktop_04.png

Style: Polyester
Window decoration: flatKnifty
Icon theme: SnowIsh

You can see also 4 SuperKaramba applets on the desktop:  Liquid Weather ++, Fantastik-NG, ChromeClock and SimpleFortune. On the second screenshot there is another style (Lipstik). I wasn't sure what I like more, so I have tried more variants :-) But in the end I like more that variant with black menubar (Polyester).

Re: September 2006 Screenshots

I want to beautify my desktop a little before I post it. Previously I used gDesklets but that used too much resources. I then switched to adesklets but for some reason it acted very unpredictable and strange.

I now want to give (Super)Karamba a try, but I don't get the program at all: is Karamba the framework or is it SuperKaramba? And what about the "themes"? Are they just themes like regular themes in any windowmanager (like Fluxbox styles)? Or are the themes the actual "desklets" (i.e. eyecandy)?

What about Karamba's need for resources? I'm not at my computer now, so I can't test it myself yet, which is why I have so many questions.

Why does always people ask for this when you can spend 5 seconds editing the pic in gimp or tuxpaint and get your screenie? big_smile

just use the "copy this color tool" and use whatever tool to fill out the filemanger or whatever

Because people post screenshots in any number of lossy formats that ruin the quality of the image. Also, this doesn't sound EASY the way you describe it (yes, I use gimp on a regular basis) compared to just asking.
