Hello, I just installed arch for the first time.
I installed i3-gaps but somehow it does not display any fonts. screenshot
Inside the i3 config I defined my font like this:
font pango:DejaVu Sans Mono 10
When I use this font everything looks normal:
font -misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--13-120-75-75-C-70-iso10646-1
The DejaVu font is installed
$ fc-list | grep "DejaVu Sans Mono"
/usr/share/fonts/TTF/DejaVuSansMono.ttf: DejaVu Sans Mono:style=Book
/usr/share/fonts/TTF/DejaVuSansMono-Oblique.ttf: DejaVu Sans Mono:style=Oblique
/usr/share/fonts/TTF/DejaVuSansMono-Bold.ttf: DejaVu Sans Mono:style=Bold
/usr/share/fonts/TTF/DejaVuSansMono-BoldOblique.ttf: DejaVu Sans Mono:style=Bold Oblique
I also tried other fonts but none of them worked.
I tried to look up my font configuration.
$XDG_CONFIG_HOME (where the fontconfig folder should be?) is not defined.
The folder does also not exist under $HOME/.config/fontconfig (I don't know if should be like that or not)
Here is my /etc/fonts/fonts.conf
Any ideas on how to solve this?
Thank you in advance!
