Re: Want to build german Openoffice.org

Try to compile 1.1.1b.
perhaps the package isn´t proprely downloaded.

i´m also a beginner, so...

Re: Want to build german Openoffice.org

Hi,

let´s check this step by step

>checking for xmkmf... no

ok, there is no xmkmf, whatever it is

>configure: error: install xmkmf to run this script, include openwin in path
>ln: >«/var/abs/extra/office/openoffice/src/oo_1.1.1a_src/solver/645/unxlngi4.pro/lib/libstdc++.so.3»: >El fichero existe
>/usr/bin/makepkg: line 63: LinuxIntelEnv.Set.sh: No existe el fichero o el

LinuxIntelEnv.Set.sh is part of the openoffice source package, I think

>directorio
</usr/bin/makepkg: line 64: ./bootstrap: No existe el fichero o el directorio
>/usr/bin/makepkg: line 67: dmake: command not found
>==> ERROR: Build Failed. Aborting...

./bootstrap is also part of OOO, I think at least.

Have the source unpacked correctly ?

I hopefully think that you use abs ?
If not type:   abs   at the bash.
go to /var/abs/extra/office/openoffice/
and change the PKGBUILD according to the Spanish language.
in the package you could also change 1.1.1a to 1.1.1b if you want the latest release.

Try to upgrade to the latest required tools ( pkgtools, etc. )...

Re: Want to build german Openoffice.org

yeah you need ALOT of free space to compile open office. maybe by the time you install arch again open office will have full language support compiled in.

This would be a big (i don´t know how to say) advantage? for the non english users.

Arch is a great distribution, i'm sure it will be in my hard disk in a no long time.

PD: sorry, but writing english is so difficult for me :oops:

Re: Want to build german Openoffice.org

Somehow the debian people have managed to put all the language-independent stuff into one Package and the Localizations into different little (~3 Megs) Packages.
http://openoffice.debian.net/

This would of course be the best soultion for Arch, too. But it would obviously need a great effort to do that.
