Will not work as new kernels no longer supply anything in /boot or /etc possibly use

usr/lib/modules/*/vmlinuz

Odd, /boot/vmlinuz-linux and /boot/vmlinuz-linux-hardened receive a new timestamp after upgrading to the latest packages, but it certainly doesn't trigger the custom signing hook.

Hooks match the contents of the package not the filesystem.
