have you triedpacman -SyyuuIt didn't help.
Same error: ''Failed to start Simple Desktop Display Manager''Has the kernel been updated, though? What is your uname -a? If it's not some 5.x.y, then check /etc/pacman.conf for a NoUpgrade.
Linux archlinux 5.6.15-arch1-1 #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed, 27 May 2020 23:42:26 +0000 x86_64 GNU/Linux
It works now.

That's a relatively new SSD and at least looks healthy.
Do you mount it "discard" (continuous trim)?

I don't know what you ask but if I understood right then I have the nvme0n1 in 'lsblk --discard' list

I encountered one more problem, not really critical.
I cannot switch to my language. Although KDE settings allow me to switch using Alt+Shift and my language is added to layouts, I can't actually do this. I'm stuck in English.
I think it's related to Xorg as well

Output of "mount"?
"Language" being the interface strings or the keyboard layout?

Interface strings.
I add Russian to layouts and made it default. Layout switch is configured on Alt+Shift.
Accepted. Rebooted.
However I still can't switch to my language.
I think I should start a new topic.

Actually no. I fixed the language thing by reinstalling xorg-setxkbmap
I wonder how many xorg-packages in my system are unfixed
Now I can't take screenshots...

/dev/nvme0n1p2 on / type f2fs (rw,relatime,lazytime,background_gc=on,discard,no_heap,user_xattr,inline_xattr,acl,inline_data,inline_dentry,flush_merge,extent_cache,mode=adaptive,active_logs=6,alloc_mode=default,fsync_mode=posix)It's mouted discard, thoug I frankly rather suspect f2fs to be the problem here.
At this point you should probably re-install all packages: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pa … dependency?
That being said: if f2fs is the problem, you might re-face this situation and may want to consider switching to a different, more mature, FS for your root FS.

if the are no more problems, could you mark this as solved by prepending the title with '[SOLVED]'

This topic is not solved. We don't know where the problem comes from and OP has supposedly fixed a single package.

Actually everything seems fine, but if you think that the problem is not solved then I removed the SOLVED marker.
I executed 'pacman -S $(pacman -Qgq xorg)' as adamss suggested. No problems occurred.

for now the problem is solved
we aren't sure about the reason behind it tho
so it maigh occur again
the best you can do (as seth pointed out)is changing ur File System from f2fs to a more mature fs, like ext4
we don't have any other suspects so far
in my opinion this problem is fixed, if another issue occurs, OP will probably start a new thread, and this one will stay open forever
