No, it took a while to trigger with VCLPLUGIN=gen on Xorg. But once the glitch appears, then it happens all the time. I'm not sure the time it take to trigger the glitch is an important parameter but I might be wrong.

Also tried libreoffice-still, same problem.... Kind of driving me crazy

It seems I cannot reproduce it in a VM. I do get the selection bug though (some text sometimes stays selected after selecting other text) so I'm going to report that upstream..

but I'm out of ideas for the font glitch
