Same GPU, ASUS, unresolved
https://forum.manjaro.org/t/installer-d … or/97753/7
Similar symptoms, ASUS, down to a dated BIOS - so if you can, try to update the BIOS.

I think my problem is quite the same with the first person and I have updated my BIOS. Maybe I should choose GTX3080 version to avoid this problem because it is said to work great

Will things be possibly better if I change my GPU to GTX3080 or GTX3060? I mainly use GPU for deep learning, so it is ok for me to use GTX3060.

Did you check the second link and did you see whether there're BIOS updates available for your device?

Yes, I have updated the bios by following the official guide from ASUS, but it still remains the same.

I have change my laptop to a new ROG Strix Scar G15 G533QS(GTX3070) and run
pacman -S nvidia nvidia-utils nvidia-prime
and then reboot and run
nvidia-smi
and everything works well. So I guess this problem is caused by my old laptop.
Anyway, I am so glad the problem is finally solved.
Thank you for your help @seth @V1del.
